taking your old job back is weird but mostly okay

Last week was my first week back at work! After a couple of phone interviews and one in-person interview (that I honestly thought I would get but I never heard back), I made the choice to just accept the generous offer my old boss gave me and work there until June when we should definitely be ready to move. I'm relieved that I don't have to push back moving or quit awkwardly and too early at a new job. I think I made the right choice to just start working and stop searching. It seems like everything will line up well; Dillon should have a certification under his belt and be ready to start his job search, too.

I thought going back to my old job was going to be awkward, but it was only weird for a second and everyone seems happy to see me and it's like I never even left. So I'm just happy that I'm getting paid more than I would ever expect to in a job like this and now we can move out of Dillon's mom's (literally the most important thing). That ball should start rolling tomorrow when I hear back from the apartment. I can't wait.
