and the ball starts rolling, i think

Hey! I think I have something to look forward to again. Dillon interviewed for a "real" job a couple of weeks ago, and since then he was instructed to complete his 40-hr HAZWOPER training. I started to get a bit discouraged because I expected them to call him back to check in on his progress the following week but they did not, until a few days ago. He's going in to meet with them again this week, but he was told it's pretty much a done deal unless something weird happens with his references *fingers crossed*. I am so proud and happy for him. I'm just trying not to get too excited too fast because, well you never know... but I'm also trying to stop being such a pessimist - a state I've seemed to slip into a little more than usual lately. If everything goes to plan and he gets the job, we will be moving to the Berkley area, which is way more exciting than Plymouth/Livonia/Ypsi, even Ann Arbor (where I thought we'd probably end up)! It's closer to Detroit and we don't find ourselves over there too often, which of course I like because I'm into unfamiliar things. I want it to feel new for staying in the mitten. I'm not having a ton of fun apartment hunting right now since I'm not 10000% sure it's happening, but I'm sure that will change. Please oh please! I can't wait to create our own space together, just us AT LONG LAST.

a platform to think

I have been trying to "get started writing" for months, it seems. I know that good artists write, and it would only be a positive ...
